Flight of the Bumblebee by Nikolai Rimsky Korsakov is from the opera, "The Tale of Tsar Saltan". This arrangement in standard notation for classical guitar was adapted from a piano score available on line from www.freescores.com, which was edited and embellished from memory of a 1979 performance by M. Ruben. With much gratitude, I thank Seattle Central Community College for sponsoring that Concert Classical Guitarist from Spain. He was recommended by Andres Segovia, and it was a special evening indeed! As far as I have heard on the Internet, this is the only solo classical guitar arrangement for Flight of the Bumblebee available that includes the full range, with counterpoint included. For developing, perfecting, and maintaining advanced fingerboard coordination, this piece should be played daily, from 50 - 100bpm by every guitarist. For best note clarity on guitar, speed should not exceed 100 bpm without slowing down at bar 102, as indicated.
